Public speaking and tailored AI talks

I regularly speak about AI. In the first five months of 2024, this was at the invitation of Manchester Statistical Society, E3M (charity CEOs), 3DK (social housing CEOs), Seddon Construction, CareerConnect, Bond & Buzzacott, Abbeycroft Community Leisure, and Radical Statistics. Most years I make time to speak internationally at a professional conference.

AI leadership advisory

Advisory takes place through the methods fitting the client need, be it coaching conversations, proof-of-concepts, prototypes or in-depth case studies to demonstrate the art of the possible. Clients include William Hill and Yorkshire Housing. The topics often covered include:

  • Customer Experience: Improving the customer experience by integrating technology that meets diverse customer needs, including addressing digital poverty.
  • Operational Efficiency: Using AI and automation to streamline operations, reduce costs, and improve service delivery.
  • Compliance and Ethics: Ensuring that the adoption of new technologies aligns with ethical standards and regulatory requirements. Helping navigate concerns about the ethical implications, data privacy, and potential risks associated with AI and automation.
  • Strategic Transformation: Moving from “reactive” to “proactive”, with an understanding of the existing technology infrastructures that can make it difficult to implement new, innovative solutions.
  • Sustainability: Implementing solutions that not only drive efficiency but also contribute to the organization’s long-term sustainability goals.

Analytical delivery

Sometimes, it is helpful to show what can be done. In rapid, two-week, on-site projects, Fuza will deliver an AI showcase to solve a high priority business problem in a new way. Clients include Tesco and Ocado.

NED and Trustee roles

I am open to Trustee or NED roles, especially those in social enterprise, and those benefitting from a digital transformation, agile, data governance, and/or AI experience.

Fractional CTO roles

For the right partners, I can provide an executive input, as I do with PorthouseDean Structural Engineers. In this case, it has been about digital and cloud transformation, and building a research capability within an SME, obtaining funding, upskilling staff, and delivering small but high value automations.
